Work in Progress and finished work shots from Paper Tales exhibition, Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar, Co Mayo.
Giant pop-up books, projected animation, cut paper scenes and comics combine to illustrate stories that were written by Castlebar schoolchildren in the 1930s – how they lived, worked and played, the local myths and legends.
Opened September 30th, runs until October 31st
Black Cut Paper wall pieces, Characters from Folk Tales-
Hand painted Fairy Tale book, an original story inspired by the Folk Tales-
Large Cut paper piece with animated Fairy exploring locations from the Story Book-
Shadow cast on back wall by projection through Cut Paper piece-
Pop Up Books under construction and completed in exhibition-
Comic Strip detailing traditions and everyday life, running from entrance stairwell up to main exhibition space-

Approved Design for Unwrapped Paper piece, to fit entrance doors at Rua Red Gallery, Tallaght, D24
29th November:
Work in Progress Photos
Start with the smallest section- work out cutting techniques to suit design
Matching up sections
30th November –
Storing already completed layers inbetween rolls of uncut paper
Cutting final door section (Door 1 on Design)
Squirrel & Seedling detail finished
All layers before rolling for transportation
And the lettering..(almost forgot)
